Everyone recognises the palm-shaped Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai. Project developer Nakheel wanted to develop a world-class tourist venue in Dubai. Palm Jumeirah was launched as part of a wider plan: an artificial island in the shape of a palm tree, with businesses, hotels, villas, and leisure facilities set along splendid beaches. In terms of size (700 hectares of reclaimed land), concept, and engineering, the palm-shaped island was the most ambitious project of all time. Palm Jumeirah consists of a 2 kilometres trunk and 17 palm leaves that are now home to luxury villas and private beaches.
Unisite supplied the large quantities of dredging pipeline including sink pipes, shore pipes with flanges, floating pipes and pontoons to support customers to complete the work and left its mark on the world with this megaproject.
